As young people in Renfrewshire, we noticed a distinct lack in music events and opportunities accessible to young people, let alone made specifically for them!

With almost all live music venues in the local area not allowing entry to under 18s, it felt like we were being excluded from having fun just for being young people!

So in 2024 we decided: we wanted to change this! Swiftly afterwards we began our planning. We were lucky enough to secure an incredible venue in 'The Bungalow', as well as stumbling upon many incredibly talented bands and performers who made the night totally unforgettable! 

In the end, over 140 young people attended our first 'Night at The Bungalow' - a level of turnout never seen before in all of RYV's history!

So... naturally this year we wanted to host a second 'Night at The Bungalow' due to the immense success of the original one!

We felt much more confident in our planning the second time around - we know how to organise but more importantly we knew why we were doing what we were doing. We knew young people wanted live music - to both see it and perform it - so we didn't worry about attendance! 

In the end, our 2025 'Night at The Bungalow' was even more successful than the first - with 175 attendees!

We also, as a group, felt more confident and capable in the run up and on the day of the event!
